On December 20th, according to Yiwu Customs, the total import and export value of Yiwu city reached 522.12 billion yuan in the first 11 months of this year, with a year-on-year growth of 18.1%. The export value was 461.62 billion yuan, up 15.7%, and the import value was 60.5 billion yuan, up 40.0%. Yiwu's share in the province's import and export, export, and import values were 11.6%, 14.1%, and 5.0%, respectively, with increases of 1.3, 1.5, and 1.2 percentage points.
Regarding exports, labor-intensive and electromechanical products ranked top, constituting 77.9% of Yiwu's total export value. Items like plastic products, bags, household appliances, automotive parts, and sports equipment experienced growth rates exceeding 20%.
On the import side, consumer goods accounted for over half of the total import value, with imports of beauty and cosmetic products totaling 6.37 billion yuan, a 54.4% increase.
Market procurement played a significant role in Yiwu's exports. In the first 11 months, exports through market procurement amounted to 357.59 billion yuan, contributing 90.8% to Yiwu's export growth and accounting for 77.5% of the total export value. General trade exports and imports were 131.99 billion yuan, with a 10.9% increase.
Looking at major global trade markets, Yiwu experienced significant export growth to countries involved in the "Belt and Road" initiative, reaching 321.21 billion yuan, a 19.6% increase, constituting 61.5% of Yiwu's total import and export value. During the same period, Yiwu's trade with Africa, Latin America, and India amounted to 96.11 billion yuan, 83.43 billion yuan, and 28.01 billion yuan, respectively, with strong growth rates of 25.6%, 25.5%, and 22.9%.
